Users receive notifications via their regular email inbox when they receive messages sent through Safester, ensuring familiarity and convenience in correspondence management.

The platform allows you to contact your existing contacts using their standard email addresses. Safester then handles the invitation process, enabling recipients to retrieve their encrypted messages securely.

Recipients who do not yet have a Safester account are invited to create a free account while their message awaits in a draft folder, facilitating smooth onboarding without disrupting their workflow.

The free edition of Safester offers comprehensive functionality to send and receive encrypted messages and attachments, supporting unlimited inbox storage. It is entirely free for users to receive all your encrypted communications securely.

All messages and files are encrypted before transmission and only decrypted on receipt, ensuring confidentiality throughout the process.

The system guarantees that there are no interception points, backdoors, master keys, or hidden access methods—security is maintained through rigorous encryption standards. Safester employs OpenPGP, the industry-leading encryption standard utilizing robust algorithms such as AES and RSA.

Encryption keys are of 2048 bits in length, aligning with current security recommendations. Additionally, all stored messages on our servers remain encrypted at rest. Even in the unlikely event of a server breach, the stored data remains indecipherable due to encryption safeguards.
